Business After Hours

Each month the Montrose Chamber of Commerce and the Redcoats offer the evening networking event, Business After Hours. This fun, lively event is hosted by a different Montrose Chamber member each month from 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. The purpose of the event is to feature our host member and offer a valuable networking opportunity to our members.

The cost to attend is $7 per member or for guests. The cost covers your entry, food, and drink. There is alcohol served by the Redcoats so you must be 21 years of age to attend.

Interested in Hosting a Business After Hours
If you're interested in hosting, here are some guidelines and tips:

Host Provides:

  • Optional door prizes: we strongly recommend give-aways
  • Catering (must be a Montrose ACT Member, or host business may cater.  View a listing of Montrose Chamber members)
  • Hosts with liquor licenses provide beverages (reimbursed $4/head at the door)
  • Business cards, flyers, and information about host business
  • Presentation about business
  • Tour of business
  • One entrance to control admission of attendees (alcohol in designated area)
Redcoats Provide:
  • Full liquor bar, including beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Bartenders
  • Bar pre-event set-up (at 4:30 p.m.) and post-event clean-up
Other Items to Note:
  • Average attendance: 50+ individuals
  • Host receives six (6) complimentary admission tickets
  • Invitations and reservations are administered by Montrose ACT
  • Admission profits benefit Montrose ACT and the Redcoats
  • This is a private party and, thus, only advertised to Montrose ACT Members
Advertising Guidelines
To help us help get the word out about your event, please let us know by the 15th of the month prior to your event (e.g., for June, let us know the details by May 15th) any information that would help drive people to your event:

If your plans are firm with the member caterer, we can “double bill” both businesses to help draw members to the event and provide advertising for both businesses (see attached spreadsheet of member caterers/restaurants)
  • Giveaways
  • Entertainment
  • Some other sort of draw
With this information, we can ensure the detailed information is on our online calendar, in the newsletter, on eBlasts, on the new Local Card site, highlighted at meetings, chatted up in the office, and around town—and much more!
