Modene Gaulke My background is in governmental affairs, specializing in lobbying, writing technical papers, writing and producing videos and technical manuals. For the past several years, I have run the day-to-day operations of a membership organization, providing services they expect and request in all areas affecting the way they do business. My entire career to date has been working with customers and boards of directors in one way or another. When we are in a position of member service, it is incumbent upon us to provide the best service possible. If what we are doing doesn’t work, then we go out into the field and talk to members to find out what will work for them, and what services they expect from us. This has always been my practice. Go to “them”: don’t wait for “them” to come to you with a complaint.
In my newly founded business, MODOC Virtual Office, I provide services for customers that will help their businesses run more smoothly. I perform these services from home and/or the customer’s office. I do bookkeeping, document preparation, event planning, education arrangements, telephone contacts with customers, written correspondence, taking minutes of meetings and transcribing them.
Additionally, I offer leadership training in the areas of governance, financial management, policy development and budget development. Writing business plans is also a service I offer.
I hold a BA degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the Evergreen State College. I also hold a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Arkansas, and a Realtor Certified Executive designation from the National Association of Realtors.
I have lived in Montrose most of my adult life and raised my daughter here. My husband, Doc, and I, enjoy spending time outside, taking long drives, reading, attending church, and watching Jeopardy to see if we can answer the difficult questions. I particularly love interior decorating, cooking, and being of service to people.
